Only 2 issues with this course. (1) The pace of slow is horrendous. Can take 4.5-5 hours and it's at its worst on Sundays. (2) The sand traps are inconsistent. Though they spent a lot of money on them a few years ago, they can range from sandy to hard pack. However, for the cost, it is one of the great finds in New Jersey.

I have been a member of this club since 1963 and never get tired of playing it....neither did Dave Marr who ranked it in his top ten years ago. The club has been brought back aesthetically and physically since the Banks days due to the efforts of an excellent greenskeeper. The Knoll West is the best bang for the buck even with the small increase last year. We have the pleasure of an excellent staff both inside and outside the club. Just a few of the celebs I have seen play at this club over the years are: Perry Como, Gene Sarazen, Joe Dimaggio, Larry Doby, Althea Gibson, New Jersey Governor Cahill, Joe Pesci, and many sports stars of the various local teams. I haven't been aware of excessive slow play unless you have gone out as a twosome on the weekend.

good layout, good conditions, somewhat slow play, great Banks layout. Course management should push members to rake bunkers (always in disrepair)

Course is challenging but not very interesting. Usually is very crowded with mediocre golfers and thus a very slow play. Recently raised prices so that course is not the good value it was been in the past.

Bunkering is very difficult on this course, bring your "A" bunker game or stay out of the bunkers.
